
A Program Designed For Young People to Get Their Feet Wet, Gain Valuable Job Experience in the Stamford job market.
The Workplace in Southern West Connecticut is offering a Summer Jobs Program in Stamford, Connecticut. The program offers young people opportunities in the Stamford workforce. The Workplace connects participants with a structured six-week paid experience in the Stamford area.
The WorkPlace application process has ended for the Summer Youth Employment Program, which is offered to young people 14 to 24. In order to qualify for the program, applicants must be residents in Stamford and the surrounding communities.
To gain work experience, participants work 20 hours per week at minimum wage. There is a training program designed to help participants be ready and prepared before day one.
The Workplace is excellent opportunity to offer job coaching, skill training, technical skills, credential, leadership training, one-on-one mentorships, and job placement.
This program is more than a summer job; it's a bridge to a career. We are proud to facilitate these opportunities that strengthen our regional workforce and help youth build a solid foundation for their future, said Joseph Carbone, president and CEO of The WorkPlace, in a news release.
