Description
The Learning Center at Piper's Hill was founded in 1970 as a hotel and camp for children. It was a unique environment for its time since it provided overnight and weekend care for family emergencies and business travel. The original site was a leased ten-acre location that gave the children the opportunity to explore nature.
As the Stamford population expanded the need for Early Childhood and Afterschool care became quite apparent. By 1990 Piper's Hill had evolved into a full time Childcare Center that provided care for Infants through Preschool and an Afterschool program for school age children.
